The FACE department is honored to recognize Black History Month from February 1 – February 28, 2021. With over 46,000 students in our district identifying as Black/African-American, our district believes that the cultures of all students and their families are important. Therefore, this month, we give tribute to African Americans who have made major positive contributions to our local community, the United States, and the world. We value the attributes, courage, determination and wisdom of our African American students, families and community and look forward to celebrating the richness and diversity in our schools and classrooms through learning, at-home learning resources, recognitions, and community partnerships.
